How to take bisacodyl
This medicine is taken orally with the prescription of a gastroenterologist. If you are taking the medicine without a doctor’s prescription, read the instructions on the medicine package.
Inject all of this medicine at once. Do not crush, chop, or use bisacodyl for at least one hour before and after taking antacids, milk, and dairy products. Taking these substances and bisacodyl at the same time may cause the coating on the pill to disappear, resulting in stomach upset and nausea.
Contact a medical emergency if a person has taken too much bisacodyl and is experiencing symptoms such as anesthesia or difficulty breathing.
